Throughout her four years ofcollege Elaine had the privilege of dancing with the IUP Dance TheaterCompany. She graduatedSumma Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor ofScience degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Theater and Dance andreceived her Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from BloomsburgUniversity. She continuedto study dance with Mary through her first year of College focusing on Ballet,Modern and Jazz/Hip Hop. Kayla is very excited to continue her dance career and share her passion with future students and families.Įlaine began her dance career at the age of 16 at MaryStrong’s Dance Academy. Kayla is currently a High School Learning Support Teacher at Blairsville High School and also coach’s volleyball for the school. She also has choreographed musicals for local high schools. Upon graduation from IUP in 2010, Kayla began to work with PaTTAN in their Fine Arts Department to write and edit dance curriculum for the state. She was also a member of PSAPHERD during this time. During this time, she had the opportunity to work with guest choreographers from other well-known companies and was able to take her love of dance into the local elementary schools. Kayla also danced with the IUP Dance Theater for four years. Kayla has also trained under world renowned choreographers in NYC through the Pulse tour and So You Think You Can Dance for several years.Īfter graduation from Blairsville High School, she went on to IUP where she became a certified Special Education teacher with a concentration in math and science and completed her dance minor. She also received private lessons in pointe from a Master Ballet Instructor from Belgium and who performed with the Russian Ballet, Mr. During this time, Kayla was trained in various types of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, acro, lyrical, hip-hop, and pointe. She continued her passion for dance through high school graduation. Kayla Machak- Started her career in dance at the young age of three. She also, served as the VP of Dance for the PSAHPERD from 2006-2008 and became a certified Zumba instructor in 2011 and Zumbini instructor in '13.Īnna resides in Indiana with her husband and 2 sons and is proud to bring to you a truly unique and fun experience that will hopefully last with you throughout your lifetime. Performances included a core dancer in guest artist's Headlong Dance Theater's Britney's Inferno in ‘02, and multiple IUP Dance Theater's Fall and Spring productions, including an Evening of Percussion and Dance and Brass & Dance Concerts from 2005-2012. She was not only a performer but a choreographer working with students and numerous guest artists throughout the next 10 years. She began working as the Rehearsal Director under the direction of Holly Boda-Sutton with the IUP Dance Theater in ’05. Returning to the Indiana area in ’02, Anna worked with Mary Strong of the Dance Academy teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and In ‘01, she taught Ballet, Tap & Jazz classes at Sue Albert's School of Dance. She later taught Ballet, Hip-Hop & Modern classes from ‘00-’02 at the studio. In ‘00, Anna furthered her studies in Tap, Broadway, Jazz and focused on performing at Broadway Rhythms. In addition, she was also a dancer in the IUP Fisher production of "On The Town." Anna was also able to assist, Joan Van Dyke, Assistant Director, with other musical rehearsals and choreography. She also worked with accomplished guest artists during her 4 years with the company. Theater, she studied Modern, Jazz & Ballet along with other genres such as Russian Folk Dance, Salsa & Ethnic Dance. She went on to college at IUP, graduating with a Bachelors’ in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts with a Dance Minor. Here, she studied Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical & Tap, performing in many competitions and annual shows until graduating high school in ‘95. Anna, began her love of dance at the age of 10 with Miss Pat's Stage Door Studio in Easton, PA.
